Adults
Please feel free to stop by any time and observe classes. If you decide you would like to join, new members must fill out a waiver and pay $100 in advance for the first month.
Dues for subsequent months are $80. If paid after the first of the month, there is a $10 late fee. Additionally, if you pay in advance, you also have the option to save more by paying quarterly ($210 for the next three months).
The quarterly dues for 2nd and 3rd degree black belts in good standing are $190 and $170, respectively. Upper belts who take a leave of absence without payment, or who transfer in from another dojo, will be required to pay the regular fee for twelve months.

All fees are non-refundable. A late fee of $10 per month will be added to payments that are past due.

Other Fees associated with membership
Equipment
Students are required to wear a gi during practice. The gi is the traditional karate uniform, consisting of a white tunic and pants. Gi can be purchased at a variety of places, including Toguri's Mercantile (downstairs from the dojo), or from the dojo directly. Prices vary ($40-$200) depending on the quality, size, and style of gi.
Students who wish to participate in kumite (typically purple belt and up) must also have white fist covers (~$20) and a mouthguard. Groin protection for men is strongly recommended. Groin and chest protection for women is optional
Exams
Once a quarter, students who would like to advance to a higher belt can take a belt exam. The cost is $20 to test for lower belts, and $25 to test for a brown belt.
